Embrace the HSP Advantage
The trait of high sensitivity applies to approximately 20% of the population, and is an innate variation of personality that offers distinct advantages in many situations. People with this trait tend to be highly empathetic, caring, curious, perceptive and thoughtful. Their ability to absorb and process sensory input is more acute than the average person – this is known as "sensory processing sensitivity," or high sensitivity. For those who are unaware that they have this trait or do not have the necessary knowledge to cope, some environments or sensory situations can be overwhelming and affect them socially, emotionally and physically.
As a highly sensitive person (HSP) and empath, Linda Binns has experienced the difficulties of growing up as a person defined as “too sensitive” by a culture that does not value sensitivity. Challenging this cultural view drove Linda to become an accomplished energy coach, author several self-help books and numerous published articles and participate as a guest expert on multimedia programs – television (includes Portland, Oregon’s AM Northwest), radio, podcasts and online summits.
Linda’s mission is twofold: to help highly sensitive professionals understand and embrace this trait so they can achieve their full potential professionally and personally; and to help employers realize and appreciate the incredible (and usually overlooked) resource of their HSP employees.
Linda teaches highly sensitive professionals the skills to step through every challenge with ease resulting in opening opportunities. She teaches business owners and managers how to increase productivity and team effectiveness by recognizing and embracing the advantages their HSP employees bring.
Business owners and managers work with Linda to educate their workforce on the trait of high sensitivity and the link to diversity and emotional intelligence.
