Stay focused, no matter what… when you set an intention that you want something to happen it’s important to maintain focus on that intention, no matter what else happens around you.
It’s so easy to set an intention and then, when things don’t happen immediately the way you want them to, you give up and complain because it’s not working. We all do it.
I heard a couple of great stories this week that were a good reminder to me of the importance of this.
One person set an intention that she would receive an important document that she needed the following day, even though everyone was telling her it was impossible. Although she did not receive it that following day, she maintained her intention and focus and it did actually come through the next day. Just one day later.
Another person had been struggling for some time with her intention to find a home. She realized that she had been allowing other people and situations to pull her away from her intention so that she became distracted and her goal seemed further away than ever. So she began to release the distractions and pull her focus back to her intention – and within a short time has found the home that she wanted.
When things seem to be going wrong or taking longer than you’d like, it’s really important to maintain your focus and not allow yourself to be pulled away from your intention. I appreciate this reminder from these two examples over the last few days.
Try this affirmation:
“I now release all distractions and put my energy and focus into what I truly want and what feels right to me.”
