What is the right way anyway? Really, the right way is what feels right to you. Don’t let someone else tell you that you’re wrong. You can certainly ask for someone’s input – and then make an informed decision as to what feels right for you. But don’t put your trust in someone else more than in yourself. And if you haven’t asked for someone’s opinion, but they want to give it anyway, just thank them and move on.
I think this quote from Friedrich Nietzsche sums it up perfectly:
“You have your way. I have my way. As for the right way, the correct way, and the only way, it does not exist.”
If someone is causing you to doubt yourself or your abilities, use this affirmation to bring yourself back on track:
“I release the need to allow other people’s opinions to cause me to doubt myself. I trust myself to know what is best for me. ”
