Appreciate everything – we seem to spend a great deal of time and energy focusing on what’s not working and what we don’t like about ourselves or our situation. When you think thoughts like this, you don’t feel good and unfortunately, even when you’re trying to change something, focusing on what’s not working doesn’t help bring about the change you’re looking for.
One simple way to change this is to focus more on what’s good in your life than on what isn’t. Focus more on what is working than on what isn’t. When you do this, two things will happen – firstly, you’ll feel so much better because these are better feeling thoughts. Secondly, you’ll find that the change you were looking for will begin to happen.
When you look for things to appreciate and look for what is good in your life, you’ll find that there is a great deal to appreciate. Usually our minds don’t focus on these things, and we take them for granted.
Try this for a week – every day look for things to feel good about. Focus your thoughts more on what’s good and you’ll learn to appreciate everything. Even your difficult situations can be seen as stepping stones to where you want to be, rather than obstacles.
Appreciation is a great way to help you attract what you really want instead of what you don't. For more strategies you might want to invest in the recordings of my recent workshop: The Secret to Getting What You (Really) Want...
