Extra Energy Tip - Find Your Flow

Find your flow – when is your energy level at its best? Is it first thing in the morning? Perhaps it’s in the afternoon or evening. When does your body like to exercise? When do you feel the need for quiet time?

Forcing yourself to do things when your energy is not right can be extremely counter-productive. You will find that when you pay attention to your body’s particular energy flow you will accomplish much more, and it will be easier.

For example, I discovered that I’m stronger and I have more endurance when I exercise in the late afternoon/early evening. I have a much better workout if I do it then than if I do it early in the morning.

My energy is at its lowest in the middle of the day, so forcing myself to do tasks that take a lot of energy or require concentration and precision is not a good idea. For me, that’s the ideal time for meditation and quiet time.

Your particular energy flow is unique to you. It doesn’t have to be the same as anyone else. When you discover your energy patterns and work with them, rather than against them, you’ll feel better, have more energy, and you’ll be much more productive.

I thought I was ready to start the new year with a jumpstart, following my oldest daughters December wedding. My children gave me a plane ticket to go skiing with them which seemed like a great way to finish the year. I came home with a broken leg :-O What's up with that?!!
